There are 3 kinds of buffs in the game:
self-buffs: these always target you, and only you. example: wrath awakening, reckless attack, courage, soul of the berserker
single-target buffs: mainly templars have these, the other casters have a few too.
party buffs: buffs that affect the entire party, including yourself. when soloing you are effectively "a party of one" for purposes of party buffs; meaning they will still affect you.
self-buffs stack with party buffs, and both of them will stack with single target buffs. however, you can never have multiples of the same buff on a single target. example:
a warlord and a berserker party together, and both cast bear-like stamina. berserker has level 2, warlord has level 3. the warlords BLS will take priority.
self-buffs rarely stack with other self-buffs that have the same effect, probably never, actually. example:
courage and Soul of the Berserker will not stack. I dont think it would be particularly OP if they did, but they dont. plan accordingly.
known exceptions these are the rules the game functions by. anything that does not follow these rules are exceptions, not the other way around. example:
Seal of legerity does not stack with quick attack. honestly people, if commanders could get their attack speed down to .5 that would be insane. it makes sense that they dont stack.
why do I bring this up? because SoL doesnt stack with QA(or RA, for that matter) suddenly everyone started assuming a warlords Bugle of carnage wouldnt stack with SoB, and therefore Warlords were weak girly-men(or women) in comparison to berserkers.
I'm not sure if this was a subconscious attempt to further glorify berserkers over warlords, or just a case of pure retardation, but when I said it was ridiculous to assume this, people countered with" well, YOU arent level 50 yet and dont know for sure, do you!!??"
sure enough, a few weeks later multiple people started popping up with "of course they stack" responses to the once popular question "does BoC stack with SoB!!??"
